Who is Faithy
Faithy is a nickname I have chosen several years ago, somewhere around the year 2000, e.g. to register 'anonymously' on discussion forums.
A few years later, even the real person behind this nickname, Gaby Schaap, listened to this nickname 'In Real Life'; so much for anonymous.
I am a 26 year old student from the Netherlands, currently living in Kingston upon Hull in the United Kingdom. Offially I study English Language and Culture at Radboud University but now, in my third year, I got a scholarship to study a full year at the University of Hull.
I am married to Rene, with whom I have been together for more than 4 years now. We do not have any pets or kids, but we do have a nice 'carpark', consisting of 3 motorbikes: 2 in the UK and one, on Schiphol, in The Netherlands.
What does she do?
As you have read above, I study English Language and Culture, but that's not really a thing to start a website on... It's also not really a 'hobby' or a 'lifestyle', so I must be doing something that will justify the existence of this website. I have several hobbies including motorbikes, cooking and photography. Ofcourse I have some more, but a website on how I drink my coffee or when I drank some Paulaner Weizenbier at my favourite pub will not really do it for me. So that's what I will be writing to you about; just a bit of all the things I like to do. Do not expect regular weekly updates, but it's just a place to share things with friends and family when I feel the need to do so!Emigration
28 June 2011 we moved to Kingston upon Hull in the United Kingdom. I am granted a Harting Scholarship to study at the University of Hull for a full year, and Rene joined me while working for his current employer in the Netherlands.On this page you can find some pictures of our new home. There is quite a big chance that we'll stay here for at least two or three years since I will be applying for an MA course at the University of Hull as well.
